I work as an Academic Ambassador for WeSeed.com, which is a free virtual stock market (e-learning tool) for the K-12 and undergraduate students. WeSeed.com looks to incorporate a collaborative environment for educators and students to teach the importance of financial literacy. Privately funded by parent company PEAK6 Investments, it is a real-time collaborative stock market; fostering a competitive environment for students and classes to participate in, while introducing them to the world of investing – all in relation to the products and companies they already know and use on a daily basis. WeSeed is designed to teach students about the stock market through hands-on investing in virtual trading accounts, but with without any financial risk. WeSeed’s mission is to simplify the stock market for the 100 million Americans who do not directly own a single share of stock. The site provides real-time stock data, simplified virtual trading, and comprehensive company and mini-market information, all while allowing for the collaboration in an online educational environment (http://www.weseed.com/education/). I invite you to take a look at WeSeed.com, at your convenience and hope that you will consider testing our resource in your classroom! Thanks for the consideration! - Lindsey
