Hello,
I am a teacher of 27 kinder's, three of those have special needs and more than one have parents that have deployed. I have taught at this school for 5 years and this year's crop is especially challenging.
I am doing research to get some advice on how to handle biters, chair throwers, and screamers. I have tried the standard ignoring when possible, trying to talk with the child and lastly calling the parent to have them try and talk with the child.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
