I just went for a short walk with my dog around the neighborhood and I encountered a class of six graders.

They were screaming at the top of their lungs "BAKE SALE!!" and "YOU BETTER BUY SOME COOKIES!" As I approached them, the screaming got louder and louder, and the teacher's screaming to tell them to be quiet did as well. I overheard the teacher shout, "You must treat the customers with respect. No one wants to buy anything that people shout at them for."

It was amazing to me that an educator had to tell her students that..I found myself throughly exhausted by just being exposed to this class for a minute -- I couldn't imagine trying to corral that class all day long.

Teachers: How do you do it? Day in and day out? Do you find yourselves teaching everyday manners just to get through the day?

Kudos to all you educators out there :)
