Are students failing or Proficient?
In our school district a student who scores a 60 on any assement has a letter grade of a "D". However according to the state standards any student who scores a 60% is considered Profecient on that framework. In other words we are promoting a "D" student to the next grade that the state says is almost at Mastery. Does anyone have a problem with this, and any idea who to fix it?
