Sir Ken Robinson to join #artsed Chat on 5/22
Sometimes it pays to just ask.
During a recent #artsed Chat on Twitter, we were discussing Sir Ken Robinson's ideas on how schools kill creativity. I knew he had a Twitter account, but there weren't many postings. I had met him a few times. In fact, a couple of years ago, my organization at the time hosted Sir Ken for a conference on Creativity and Education. So, I gave it a shot. I got in touch with his agent who put me in touch with his assistant and he said, "yes." That was it.
I hope you're able to join us for this week's chat. I will come back and post the topic he chooses. He has a new TED talk and is working on a book so I can't wait to hear what he's been thinking about.
If you're interested in seeing what we talk about on #artsed Chat, I have created an archive of transcripts at http://www.creativityandassociates.net/artsed-chat-archive/
The lesson of this story? Just ask. The worst that can happen is that the answer is "no."
