i have a chance to go to denmark for a language study abroad but i need some body to grant me $7500 to cover my trip expense.

Travel Monies Needed for China Delegation on Music Education

I've been invited to serve on a delegation of music educators who will participate in a citizen ambassadors' program in China. This trip is in December.

Being only an adjunct instructor at a community college in Texas, the $5500.00 is prohibitive.

I want to accept the invitation but need some type of assistance for the travel to make it happen.

Thank you.

Elem. Gr. 4 Science Lab grant; Gr. 3/4/5 Science Fair grant

I have a fabulous opportunity to help to open a brand, new elementary (P-5) school this coming year in Douglas County, Georgia! I will be teaching fourth grade, and have been designatd the school's grades 3/4/5 science chairperson (building rep). I have been offered two classrooms in which to house grade 4 science labs. I will need lab tables, chairs, 2 teacher podiums, several microscopes and slides, laptop computers and flashdrives and CD/DVDs, 2 printers and ink cartridges, printer paper, various upper-elementary science materials and equipment, and 2 Smart Boards to get the lab rooms off to a highly productive, 21st Century lift-off! Helping to open this school is like being on a team to launch a space shuttle for NASA ~ it is going to be an amazing mission! I don't know how I could be more excited!
I also will coordinate the school's first upper-elementary science fair in May, which will require additional necessecities, such as science display boards, model and experiment materials, ribbons, trophies, prizes, and a school digital photo/video camera to record the students' project progress and outcome. I successfully coordinated ten annual science fairs at my previous school, with impressive results. Every year, the students have astonished me, and those attending, with their outside-of-the-box scientific inquiry and knowledge! Kids are naturally curious, and love science!
I would very much appreciate being considered for assistance with any of the above-mentioned items/materials, as I continue to plan out my coming first year at this new school. I would like to take all of the students that I teach into the next galaxy with this opportunity! Thanks for your help! SCIENCE TAKES YOUR IMAGINATION INTO THE NEXT GALAXY!

As the visionary leader of

As the visionary leader of Hilliard Leadership Academies for Boys, I have assembled a team of professionals who are providing some pro bono assistance to the first of what we expect to be numerous all male elementary schools beginning at Junior kindergarten and going to eighth grade. The instructional program will be rigorous and is specifically designed to address the incredibly high dropout rate among the most affected racial populations. Currently, we are completing the entire school design (i.e. curriculum, leadership and instructional staff requirements, etc.). The research is clear about what's required to reverse the tide of failure among the most at risk populations. Once the entire proposal is complete, we will prepare an accompanying business plan. We're seeking $5M (i.e. in grants to support school buildout, startup and working capital, and we have begun an outreach initiative to introduce prospects to our school concept. Our five (5) year projected goals are to have a student population of 360 per school, with schools located in Chicago, Illinois, Detroit, Michigan, Gary, Indiana, Oakland and Los Angeles, California and other urban/inner cities as the need is identified. The schools will be either chartered or regular public schools (i.e. public schools that school districts agree to contract to our education management organization. ALL INFORMATION IS VERIFIABLE

Delegation to China

Along with the other delegation members for the China trip, I am also looking for grant information. The trip costs over $6,000.00. I am an English Language Development teacher in Lynwood, California (a small city southeast of Los Angeles). Thanks.

Grant for Student Travel to the Pantanal in Brazil

A science teacher at Fenway High School in Boston and I are seeking grants to fund a trip to the Pantanal in Brazil for six urban high school students. These students will participate in a two-week research effort sponsored by Earthwatch.

Fenway is a public high school in Boston and the students are working to raise some of the funds on their own but need support from outside funders.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Carol Lazarus

Grant for attending IRA Delegation to China in November

I have been invited to attend the International Reading Association Delegation to China in November and I am seeking grant support for the trip. The trip cost is over $6000 plus other expenses. I am currently a reading teacher and assistant principal and wondering if anyone knows of a grant that supports this opportunity.
Thank you.
