Luis and his peers in the 4-H Tech Wizards program used personal digital assistants (PDAs) and geographic information system (GIS) technology to collect tree data and generate computerized maps for the City of Hillsboro Planning Department.

The story of Luis is a fascinating one!! It's a testimony of how far a great attitude coupled with adequate support can take you...His character traits, his fostering of critical thinking and how he's used the many opportunities he's been provided with are a true example of Si, se puede!!

Luis: our Latino-Hispanic youth needs more adolescents like you; you are a real role model!!, and our Hispanic Parent Community needs more parents like yours, so supportive, understanding and eager to learn, grow and improve...
