Dave Forrest

History teacher Dave Forrest achieved National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 1999. He and his wife, Marilyn, were the first from James Logan High School in Union City, California, to receive certification, which recognizes teachers who successfully complete a rigorous portfolio and assessment process. Forrest also has been teacher of the year, a mentor teacher, and a leader in integrating technology into the Logan High School curriculum.
