Is there any current research about the value of computerized assessment testing of K-12 students? In Eutopia's Assessment Research article, I was surprised to find the most recent reference was first published in 2002.
The referenced Chicago study was published in 2001. The Rand study, "Using Web Based Testing for Large Scale Assessment" was published in 2000. Representatives from Boston College based their research on studies done in 1995. The Rand report from Vermont, which did not reference computer testing, came from research from the early 1990s. Finally the research from Union City, New Jersey, was first published in 2002.
Where or by whom is current, or recently published, research being conducted on this topic?
