To often teacher preparation programs don't provide enough practical information to their teachers. Theory and educational jargon doesn't give teachers the tools they need to survive in education where test scores are in question, violence is rampant, and student behavior is out of control. Not to mention the fact that new teachers get the worst schedule with the most difficult students.
