Here in Post-K New Orleans, we have schools sharing building built just after the Civil War and campuses jumbled together with FEMA trailers. I’m actually on the board of a small school that’s camping out in the backyard of a hospital (We’re being evicted next year!). While I’m certainly excited by these innovative designs, I’m also a bit miffed – how can there be such a disparity in the quality of school buildings found around the country? Hopefully, in time, some of these designs will find there way down river…
A design flaw
