I really enjoyed reading this article. As a teacher who has only been teaching a couple of years I have often asked myself,"Are my students really learning?" In my first year of teaching I just wanted to survive! After my first year I realized that many of my lessons were not meaningful to my students. This year I gave my students questionnaires and I have tried relating my lessons to them. I have also taken more time to listen. This is when I have found some of the most interesting answers and come to understand their way of thinking. I want to show my students that I care about them. As I continue teaching I hope to implement more meaningful lessons and create deeper thinking in my students.
