Thank you Joy. I think you are right on when you call it an investment. Kids have amazing ideas, but without the social tools to share those ideas, very few people will ever understand or appreciate their insights. You're right, the particular vocabulary we use is not near as important as the fact that we think through what we expect, and spend time planning and teaching children to meet those expectations. They can absolutely live up to a high standard. Thanks for your ideas.
