This has to be one of the most clearly and excellently communicated pieces on the subject, thanks to Mr. Lucas and Mr. Goleman. But, where it should start is with teachers who must first have a love and a respect for children, a good heart and soul as well as an informed mind, and have an abundance of emotional intelligence themselves. Then and only then can we persuade and help to create truly curious, educated and emotionally intelligent, wonderful human beings.
