I had the opportunity to use online grading last year. I had two classes of fourth graders each day. At least twice a week I ould enter grades. Parents could get online everyday if they wanted to check on their child's grade. It saved me time from the telephone answering why their child had a certain average. They could even see what assignments were not turned in. I also gave students the opportunity to redo an assignment by a certain date to increase their grade. This online grading helped communication between the parents and made the students more accountable for their grades. No surprises.
A BIG YES!
