Teaching with a disability

Submitted by Lee Johnson (not verified) on March 17, 2008 - 09:33.

I have Aspergers Syndrome and I am hearing impaired. I changed careers to become a teacher with a masters in special education several years ago. It is hard for anyone addressing everything a classroom teacher is expected to do. However, I had encountered only one other disabled teacher up to now. I found your article supportive. Thank you.
