To me, this kind of "credit" system is the obvious thing. I can't see any way to marry the "group pace" to standards. When experts say we must do away with "time in grade," this is what they are really proposing. There is room for different approaches, but the basic principles of Chugach are inherent in the notion of "standards for all." So many kids would benefit, if we would do more of this. And I don't think many would be hurt.
