I so enjoyed "meeting" Dr. Foster. As an educator that grew up in the 1950's, I have always felt that, though they didn't have our "language" to characterize their teaching strategies, the teachers of that era knew the magic of small groups, understood of the value of a global education, valued getting to know their students and prized the uniqueness of those students' individual learning styles. These teachers "constructed meaning" and didn't even know the term. They never knew of "multiple intelligences" or "project-based learning" but they could tell you all about them. These teachers functioned quite well in the area that really never changes despite all of our programs - - the area of authentic, genuine learning. God bless them each and everyone. Dr. Foster shall join my Mrs. Bennett in standing quietly in my classroom each day helping me to give to students what they so freely gave to me. What a blessing! What a blessing!
