I really like the ideas that schools are using to increase learning via the internet. Books can sometimes be "boring" but reading on a computer seems to relate more to kids in this generation of technology. It gives them an opportunity to explore things they might not have access or exposure to within the schools curriculum. I understand that accessibility due to cost becomes an issue and "upper class" families have more $$ to afford the luxuries of the Internet but the city of Minneapolis recently passed a project that will incorporate wireless high-speed internet for around $20/mo.

which could give many more less financially fortunate students access to the Internet at home. I believe that more metro areas will follow suite in the near future. The problem still remains to motivate children to use it for the right reasons but a great opportunity is being created within the hands of the correct people. If facilitated by teachers after school or during the summer children can broaden their education and knowledge.
