I am a Title I director and this past year my 2nd grade Title I teacher wanted to bring a therapy dog into her classroom. I was very agreeable as I am a dog person and am quite comforted on a daily basis by my three dogs. The day she brought in the dog was so successful, she did it again in the spring. Now, after reading this article, I am going to look into getting dogs into the other Title I grade classrooms. Thanks for a great article!
