green carts

Please forward this to the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund

My name is Dan Rossi. I've been involved with the food vending industry for about thirty years. I built my first cart in my basement. In 1995 I had the largest fleet of carts in City history, 500 carts. 250 of them fruit and vegetable carts.

At the City Council hearing I was the only person from the vending community to testify in favor of the carts.

There is no doubt in my mind that you have the most talented men and women involved with this project.

But building the right cart doesn't start at the drawing board it must be built around the vendor. transporting, storage etc.

You may need two or three different style carts to make it work.

If there is anything I can do to assist you, please call. I can be reached at 917-821-1369

Not only is this good for the health of our citizens but it will also put a few hundred people to work.

Thank You
