If folks are looking for High School, Middle School and even Elementary School student films, check out The Shortie Awards: Student Film and News Festival.
One of our most powerful films comes out of Oakland, CA, entitled Slip of the Tongue. It's about a young man at a bus stop who gets schooled by a stranger on a cultural misconceptions of beauty. The film "Slip of the Tongue" was adopted from a spoken word poem by Adriel Luis. It was directed, shot, and edited by Youth Sounds Factory member Karen Lum.
