I am in full agreement with everything you have said. I have been teaching for 20 years and have taught in a variety of settings. I am ready to go back to the experiential learning model. My goal before I retire is to have a fully integrated project-based learning program in my middle school. I think that our middle-schoolers are prone to boredom with school and eventually check out from the school setting. I would like to inspire these kids to love learning and work on projects that they are truly interested in. I believe that they will then understand the importance of all of the individual disciplines and how they relate to the real world. Thank you for inspiring me with my long term goal.
