Who wants out of date books that have reprinted frequently to keep up with the new discoveries? Those cost huge amounts of cash and take a long time to make, they're also burning trees and wasting ink. Digital textbooks are so much lighter and are updateable without having to reprint them. Laptops are also better for people who carry a lot of books everyday and it reduces the risk of getting a back injury. Think about it, if a laptop is $700 and a textbook is $70, getting the textbook reprinted ten times is the same as the price of a laptop, and maybe you need to reprint even more textbooks. Laptops can also store hundreds of textbooks for the weight of one.
Schools definitely need laptops
