It would be nice if the tests actually gave us an idea of how to teach kids more effectively. Unfortunately, I think it only give publishers a way to develop programs and materials that will teach kids how to perform better on a specific test (statewide) and then make a lot of money selling it to districts that cannot afford to do poorly on these tests.
