All scheduling problems have solutions. Why can't schools offer some classes segregated and some not? That way the girls get a break from the boys and the boys get a break from the girls but they don't need sign up for complete segregation for the rest of their schooling. Let's cater to the needs of students without creating unhealthy learning. And for goodness sake, train us teaches on how to teach in these classes so that we do not unwittingly (or wittingly) reinforce stereotypes.
can't we get the benefit of both worlds?
