Assistive technology video

It is inspirational to see how technology can facilitate learning and “normalcy” from kids of all sorts of skills and abilities. Then to think of all the students out there that will never be able to benefit from it. It is unfortunate that cost has to factor into yet another area of education. There is a bumper sticker that I think is quite appropriate. It says something along the lines of: In a perfect world schools would have all the money they need and the military would have to hold bake sales to raise money.
Also, beyond just the financial limitations, the access to this wonderful technology is further limited by the knowledge of its existence. The companies that make the various assistive technologies need to promote the heck out of them so that teachers, parents, students, administrators, politicians, and everyone else knows what’s out there.
