The Henry Ford

The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village have always been history-rich attractions. However, current management of these great attractions are compromising the integrity of these attractions by allowing minor children to sell alcoholic products (at least as young as 16-year-olds) and forcing their horses to work in excessive temperatures (over 90 degrees, with heat indices nearing 100). Last year, they killed at least two equines with their abuse, and they are continuing.

The governing city, Dearborn, Michigan, vehemently protects this money-hungry enterprise, threatening to arrest children who were selling alcohol (keeping in mind these children were never trained and had no idea they were breaking the law) but not holding the liquor license holder (The Henry Ford) responsible for their actions. The horses are blatantly worked in excessive heat, and the Dearborn animal control officer obviously has done nothing. According to the New York City Police Department, carriage horses in New York are prohibited from working in temperatures over 90 degrees; but obviously Michigan, especially Dearborn, has no such compassion for animals.

Anytime The Henry Ford president, Patricia Mooradian is contacted, she simply denies wrongdoing. To her, the almighty buck is worth more than any child or animal.
