I find the environment you describe to be very intriguing. In many respects it sounds like the physical make up of building in which I teach. The difference is the access to technology for every student and their families. I find emailing to be convenient; however, I am always worried that my messages will be misinterpreted. I know I would use technology to enhance my students learning, but we have to share one portable computer lab and have a 30 minute scheduled computer time per week in the computer room. Are there any suggestions you have for my circumstances? Another communication tool you mentioned is a class webpage. We are trying to develop one now, but it seems rather cumbersome to keep updated. Do you have any recommendations?
