Fostering ed tech and global awareness

Brookfield has really made the most of a grant of 23 laptops! I was surprised to hear of the 45 - 50 different languages spoken by the students. It has increased my awareness of the need for fostering both education in technology and global awareness.

Excellent video; not pretentious. The choir opens and closes the video. Good choice and use of the arts as an illustration of edutopia.
I enjoyed it immensely!

It is reassuring to see

It is reassuring to see students in high school using onsite technology to enrich their learning. Learning outside the classroom, which is then shared with other schools and/or used by other agencies allows the students' learning to live outside the classroom. Students will value and be more engaged in their learning when it is authentic. Well done Brookfield.

That was great!
As a teacher of language in Tunisia, I happen to teach a module about education systems in the world. Good coincidence! I watched the video and immediately planned it in my schedule. My students enjoyed it so much. That was inspiring for all of us.Carry on!

We enjoyed the video so much.
Our daughter is on staff at Brookfield - Mrs. McCalla
so it was interesting for us in many ways.
Unfortunately I tried today at the school where I am the librarian to get it to work, I had sound but no video, so couldn't show it to others. However, I'll
mention it to our technician tomorrow and see if he can get it at least for the Junior High students.
Also - a great choir!!!

This is a very refreshing

This is a very refreshing look at public education.
We use similiar laptop carts in our elementary school. I really like the way they are being used there on the secondary level. I like the versatility of the laptops as well. They are more easily used as electronic notebooks than the average computer.
I have to say that as an ESOL teacher, I was really excited about he World Voices Choir. Keep up the excellent work!
