There are some good games and activities to be found on kidshealth.org for elementary students, middle school students and teens. The material is very appropriate and educational. There are many activities centered around the body systems.
I agree that student learning should be interactive and introducing these activities to students connects the students to the technology that they are so involved with.

We used video games in education with one London school by connecting video games consoles such as Xbox 360's and the Playstation 3 to exercise equipment.

THE IDEA: When students exercise the game plays. When they stop exercising the game pauses - encouraging students to exercise more.

Since I do not want to be the policeman for, "Can I play this game or that game?" I offer only www.sheppardsoftware.com as the game site of choice.

Do my students find hyperlinks to the less desirable games? Yes, they do, but at least fewer of the students persist; most are satisfied with the educational game choices on Sheppard Software.

I think games in the computer classroom is a double edged sword. Students sometimes choose educational games like world geography or math, but most often I see guns, violence and negative visuals in the games students select. Also, if my computer applications students think I will offer "freetime" after they complete an assignment, they rush through the assignment and do poor work.
