For those interested in global learning, I can also suggest http://www.theglobaleconomy.com/. Students and teachers can compare countries and track them over time. They can create and download interactive charts and become familiar with key concepts about the world economy.

For the largest K-12 catalog (over 250,000) resources check out http://opened.io. Most of OpenEd's resources are Common Core aligned. The code for the site itself also happens to be open source and exposed via an open API.

Middle school Drama teacher

This was a great article and resource for me! I'm a middle school drama teacher and don't have a textbook that I can use for the class. I have many books that I've used pieces of information from but not one that I can use to reference to while teaching or one that my students can work from. Instead I am stuck pulling information from various books and making new class copies every semester. In addition, some of the information contained in the books is slightly outdated, or doesn't include all the possible information that is not available on a particular area of performance. It also is very hard for the students to find information about those current productions that demonstrate some of the different theatrical genres. I believe having access to current articles of information will go a long way towards making the lessons I am teaching more relevant to my students.

In addition, my school recently has placed new emphasis on the integration and use of technology in the class, implementing a BYOT policy (Bring Your Own Technology). Websites like Ck-12 sound like an amazing resource to help me demonstrate to my students that the internet can be used for more than just looking up videos while also reinforcing and supporting the integration of technology in the classroom.

Thank you so much for sharing these websites! They will be so helpful to me in the classroom!
