This article has opened my eyes on so many levels. I would have never thought to put more focus on a childs passion and strength to get thru a hard day. I have witness bullying in the school and handle the parties involved. To help a student by tapng into their passion for something is GREAT. I will give this a try and see how it works...

This was such an interesting fact: "The brain at positive is 31% more productive than at negative, neutral or stressed." It makes sense, but data that proves it always helps :)

As always, thanks for the great posts Randy. Addressing a student's emotional and social well-being in education is something that's often ovelooked unfortunately. Your posts re-affirm why it should become more of a priority.
