Readers' Survey 2008: Best Site for Grant Information

Although one perplexed user wanted to know, "Who is this elusive Grant everyone talks about?" most had a pretty good idea of where to go to look for him. Among a handful of question marks and "You tell me" replies, there lay a veritable trove of grant-info sites that would surely thrill the most cash-strapped and downtrodden among us.
Responses varied widely based on academic subject area and location, from the National Science Teachers Association to "My state's department of education" to even the Culinary Trust (for those Edible Schoolyard types out there).
To those who responded, "I don't know" -- and especially to the one who said, "I don't know and don't want to!" -- check out our choices: Edutopia.org, GrantsAlert.com, Grants.gov, and the U.S. Department of Education. Here are a few extra ideas from other readers:

Best site for grant information
What about Grant Wrangler? We focus exclusively on grants for teachers and schools so that you can quickly find funding for your classroom. You can also find tips on grant writing, articles about grant winnes, and a Q&A forum at blog.grantwrangler.com
Well, these sites have nice ideas about getting a grants. There are some services where free grants are available just need to pay for documentation charges or might need other as well but not sure.
Gov sites have a lot of infos.

You can find free information on government grants on this My Grants Blog, where new grant opportunities are being posted every day with instructions on how and where to apply for them.
Definitely some good resources here. I have been looking for a solid place that I could get good information about school grants and the K12 site above seems to have just what I was looking for. Pool Resurfacing
