Readers’ Survey 2006: Best Educators’ Web Site

Edutopia readers weigh in on their favorites.

April 3, 2006

Edutopia.org

"Aw, shucks," say the editors, shyly toeing the ground. Edutopia walked away with the most votes, but many others were listed. Education World garnered many votes, as did Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators. A handful of additional Web sites had fans among our respondents, including Enchanted Learning, the Harvard Graduate School of Education site, National Geographic Kids, ThinkQuest, and unitedstreaming. And this: One reader suggested Wine Spectator Online, adding, "You know we need it."

Our Take

A word from your sponsors: Having just finished a redesign of our online offerings, we were thrilled by your kind words. We must be realistic, however: There is still much room for improvement, and as we fine-tune our efforts, we need your help. Our main goal is to make our site a source of information, innovation, and community. We would like to be a resource -- both a toolbox and an inspiration -- but we need your input to get it right. If you have suggestions, advice, or observations to help us improve our online presence, email us at feedback@glef.org. Thanks!
