Stand Up for Alaska: Alaska Youth for Environmental Action

Members of this high school environmental education and leadership program of the National Wildlife Federation created a PowerPoint presentation about climate change, gathered more than 5,000 signatures from fellow students, and went to Washington, DC, to persuade one of their senators to take action on global warming.

Awesome! I am so impressed with what AYEA and all of its student and adult leaders are doing for Alaska and the nation. Great summary of their work, I will share with others!

We're building a movement!!

The AYEA kids are so inspiring! It's a shame that the government is so far behind the youth of this country. The National Wildlife Federation is really leading the charge against global warming and I commend them! They have this program for high school students and the Chill Out competition for college students. (www.campuschillout.org) Global warming is an issue that young people are going to be stuck with, so it's nice to know that they are stepping up and really leading the way on this!
