Sometimes Edutopia's emails are mistakenly blocked by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as spam or unsolicited emails because they are sent to a large number of recipients at the same time.

You can ensure that our emails arrive in your inbox by "whitelisting" our address so that your ISP will know the emails are not junk. Just follow these easy steps to add Edutopia to your email contacts list or address book.

Instructions based on email client:


AOL

AOL 8 Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. Click the "Add to Address" icon on the right side of the window.
  3. Click the "Save" button.

AOL 9 Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. Click the "Add Address" icon on the right side of the window.
  3. Click the "Save" button.

AOL® Webmail Users:

  1. From your Inbox, hover your mouse over Edutopia News under "FROM."
  2. Right-click and scroll down to select "Add to Contacts."
  3. Enter "Edutopia" as the Nickname (required).
  4. Click on the "Add Contact" button.
  5. Our email address will be automatically entered into your AOL Address Book.

Gmail

Gmail Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. Click the down arrow ("More") next to the reply button in the top right corner of the email message.
  3. From the drop-down menu select "Add Edutopia News to Contacts list."
  4. Our email address will be automatically entered into your Gmail contacts list.

Or

  1. Move your mouse over the sender's name, Edutopia News, to view the pop-up card and click on "Add to Contacts."

Outlook

Outlook 11 Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. Right-click the Edutopia email address.
  3. Click "Add to Outlook Contacts" on the shortcut menu.

Outlook 2003 Users:

  1. From your Inbox, select "Actions."
  2. Select "Junk E-mail options."
  3. Click on the "Safe Senders" tab.
  4. Type or copy and paste the Edutopia address into the available field.
  5. Click "OK."

Or

  1. In the message list of your Inbox or other mail folder, right-click your Edutopia email message.
  2. Click "Add Sender to Address Book."
  3. Click the "OK" button.

Outlook 2000 Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. In the "From" field, right-click the Edutopia email address.
  3. Click the "Add to Contacts" link on the shortcut menu.
  4. Click the "OK" button.

Outlook Express 6 Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. In the "From" field, right-click the Edutopia email address.
  3. Click the "Add to Address Book" link in the menu.
  4. Click the "OK" button.

Outlook.com Users:

  1. From your Inbox, click on the gear symbol in the upper right corner next to your username.
  2. Select "More Mail Settings" from the menu.
  3. Choose "Safe and Blocked Senders."
  4. Select "Safe Senders."
  5. Where it says, "Sender or Domain to Mark as Safe," enter news@news.edutopia.org and click on "Add to List."

Yahoo!

Yahoo® Users:

  1. Open your Edutopia email message.
  2. Click on the "+" icon next to the "From" address.
  3. An "Add to Contacts" pop-up box will appear with our email address automatically placed in the email address field.
  4. If you wish, add additional contact information.
  5. Click on "Save."
  6. Our email address will be automatically entered into your Yahoo! list.
