4th grade
This video is amazing. I am priviledged to be exposed to its contents. My mission is to arm my students with integtated technology.
This is a great idea. Kids
This is a great idea. Kids who are not normaly into learning can find their way into an environment that can tap into their style of learning.
GREAT!
This is a GREAT thing you are doing. Advances in education is outstanding to keep students engaged. I hope nothing less than success and more for your program. I will definately be using this site in my new career!
This was a very interesting
This was a very interesting video filled with lots of resources and ideas that I could use in the future to integrate different learning styles into my planning.

The George Lucus Educational Foundation provides a wealth of insight and inspiration! Edutopia is definitely my "go to" resource.
What Works!
I am a retired teacher and have only now discovered this site. I know and accept being a dinosaur when it comes to technology. I am currently writing about my experience in teaching for over thirty years, and it has come to my attention that there is no discussion of the very linear nature of education and the human thinking process generally. It seems to me that we have a built in set of genetic blinders when we attempt to think about human learning. I'd be most appreciative of any direction to such a discussion.
Also, I am convinced of the profound use of role-model adaptive behavior in very young learners and would also appreciate any discussion on this topic.
"non-linear" education
Read Daniel Goleman on social intelligence
and Howard Gardner on Multiple-Intelligences
also consider Cooperative and Team Education in Elementary and Middle-School respectively.
George Lucas Fellow?
Is there anywhere I can go to find information about applying to become a George Lucas Fellow? It was brought up in a graduate class I am taking, and I cannot seem to find any information anywhere. Thanks for the help!
becoming part of the team
I too am an educator
I am about to retire but want to be part of an education system that is assisting students, teachers
and mostly the system itself to better afford the opportunity of education!!
When I first began in 1968, creativity meant something and I continue to believe it is very important
It must be an integral part of instruction and learning
young students have had much practice and are very good at filling in the bubble on the many tests
all of which are the same kind of multiple measure
portfolios must include "mutliple" ways of measuring/ showing the students performance not just another test
I would love to assist districts in finding ways of implementing and valuing "multiple measures"
